French Kissed

So your correspondent just flew in from a whirlwind mission to the Cannes Film Festival.

And boy is his liver tired.

Amongst his myriad observations whilst wandering the Côte d’Azur: French gents on the whole don’t dress as dashingly as one might think. That being said the ones that do, really do.

And we’ve figured out their secret.

It’s Cremieux, the dapper French menswear cats who just so happen to have dropped their very first NYC retail location, now open in the heart of SoHo.

Cremieux stocks just the sort of preppy-with-a-Euro-twist ensembles that will give a man confidence whether he’s strolling La Croisette or Mercer Street. Jaunty blazers in bright summer colors. Perfectly snug kodachrome polos. Those ivory chinos that you are, as of this weekend, now allowed to wear.

Plus handsome wire sunnies, eye-poppin’ knit ties and pocket squares, and casual beach totes to throw ’em all into.

And next weekend, Cremieux’s resident tailor is flying in from Europe to do custom fittings in the shop.

Once outfitted, you might just consider flying back with him.

Nota bene: While you can get a pretty good idea of Cremieux’s offerings from their site, the NYC shop has plenty of exclusive gear. So get down there in person and tell ‘em InsideHook sent ya.
