The Best New Chefs in America Cook You Dinner

Chef's Club: a very intimate dinner party

July 9, 2015 9:00 am

Chang. Boulud. Batali.

New York’s got its fair share of great chefs.

Seems sort of unfair that we’d take the best ones from other cities as well.

But that’s exactly what they’re doing at Chef’s Club, the new hush-hush supper club held inside an intimate, 18-seat SoHo studio with its own private open kitchen.

Tickets are on sale now and will not last. Because again, 18-seat studio.

Chef’s Club is hosted by the gustatorial mavens at Food & Wine, who are using it as a chance to showcase nationwide recipients of their Best New Chef Award.

Talented wunderkinder show up, cook an extremely limited number of seatings, and then — poof! — vanish, like Keyser Soze in a toque.

First up is Matt McCallister of celebrated Dallas eatery FT33, plating up his updated take on regional Texas cuisine. If his supper club menu is anything like what he’s throwing down back home, you shouldn’t miss it.

Subsequent get-togethers will feature talent from Minneapolis to Boston to San Francisco, each boasting nods from the likes of Beard and Michelin.

So it’s like a mini-vacation around the nation. For your mouth.

Better start booking those tickets.
