Actor Adam Driver counts himself among the actors who refuse to watch their own movies, with one exception: His portrayal of super villain Kylo Ren in Star Wars: the Force Awakens. But he told Esquire in a new interview that he’s unsure about whether or not he’ll do it again when The Last Jedi opens in theaters on December 15.

“The thing with Star Wars,” Driver said, “is that they’re like, ‘Trust us, there is space behind you.’ Or ‘Trust us, your lightsaber will work.’ So a part of the impulse in wanting to see it is because there is so much visual sh-t going on that I didn’t know what was happening.”

But since he’s already done it, he’s “undecided.”

“I know about this one,” Driver said. “I know that the lightsaber is working now. I know what it looks like.”

Driver might be sitting this one out, but we won’t. Take a look at the mesmerizing trailer above, and read the full profile in Esquire below.
