To be completely honest, the prospect of finding a smoking deal during the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale seems suspect in the age of Instagram shopping and Googleable coupons. Can a brick-and-mortar department store founded in 1901 really compete with savvy, digitally native shops? After perusing the sale, which opened to select people today, we’re happy to report the answer is still a resounding yes.
How the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale works
The sale opened August 4 to select cardmembers depending on status, and that window will increase until August 13 when all cardmembers can shop, and then from August 19 to 30 everyone without a Nordstrom credit card will be able to score the deals.
Your game plan
If you have “Icon” status on your card, you can shop today. If you want early access, you can get a new credit card. But if you’re like most people, you’ll need to wait until the 19th to shop, and that’s OK. If previous years are any indication, the best deals will still be available then, and we’ve got those all listed below — but you can also scroll through them at your leisure.
