You can’t talk about linen without conjuring visions of leisure. Of croquet and Negronis and bare feet shuffling through an Augusta-grade lawn.

It’s no surprise that the best linen is made in France and Italy, two countries that know how to downtime about as well as a face-painted Coachella sprite knows how to Instagram.

Speaking of Coachella, taking it easy and fine European linen, we’d like to introduce you to Mister French.

Their latest drop: a comfy, lightweight linen shirt called the Pioneertown Print, ideal for the jaunty days of spring and summer.

Construction: a single-stitch fitted button-down offered in long or short sleeve.

Design: off-white, Italian linen decorated in desert motifs (sagebrush, snakes, Joshua Trees).

Best worn untucked.

Mister French is the clothing project of two brothers, Matt and Mike French, who also own the Pioneertown Motel. If you haven’t been, go.

Like their new shirt, all of Mister French’s offerings are made with Italian linen and offered in a soft palette that runs the gamut from mint to white to red to pink to blue.

So pick a few up and then take it easy out there.

Just make sure you take the shirts with you.
