In 2012, a superyacht sank off the coast of Skyros, Greece. There were eight crew members onboard. The Hellenic Coast Guard arrived in a helicopter to perform a dramatic rescue.

Though the incident got some minor news coverage, the extent of the rescuers bravery wasn’t known—until now.

It just happened that one of those brave souls doing the rescuing was wearing a GoPro on his helmet that day, and you can now follow him on his nail-biting descent from a helicopter down to the pitching, sinking ship, as he gets ready to save some lives.
