Lawrence O’Donnell apologized for his off-air tirade during his August 29 broadcast of The Last Word.

He posted an apology on Twitter, expressing remorse for the viral footage, which was obtained and posted by Mediaite

O’Donnell write that “a better anchorman and a better person would’ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties.”

The video drew a lot of attention on Twitter last week, with many people comparing it to Bill O’Reilly’s infamous rant during a taping of Inside Edition.

In the eight-minute-long video, Lawrence gets angry about earpiece malfunctions and the fact that he can hear hammering somewhere, Mediaite writes. He yells at his staff and uses obscenities. At one point, he slams his fists on the desk, and eventually, stands up and starts screaming.
