Heavy Metal

Heavy-duty gauge steel. Five-ton screw mechanisms. Industrial crank wheels.

We’re talking man furniture, dude.

Meet the extremely rugged, exceedingly handsome wares of Vintage Industrial, now taking orders.

The Phoenix, AZ-based interior design company offers a masculine range of tables, media consoles, desks and shelving, with about 95% of the materials made or sourced in the U.S.A.

It’s heavyweight stuff, often for heavyweight clients: MGM, Anheuser-Busch, Four Seasons, Ralph Lauren, Bergdorf Goodman, etc.

And, now, you.

Their flagship: the Bronx, a steel table with more than 200 rivets, hardwood table top with metal trim and an aged finish.

It also adjusts from 30” (dining) to 42” (bar height) via two 12” crank wheels.

“I get most of my ideas from architecture: this one was inspired by an arch in France,” says founder Greg Hankerson. “It’s really ornate, heavy and functional … but with feminine curves.”

Everything is made from scratch and built to order.

Coming up soon: the Industrial Trestle (pictured above, not yet available for purchase), a 96″ x 40″ x 30″ table made in walnut, maple and mixed steel. “It’s a little different for us. The combination [of wood and steel] classes it up. Next we’ll try the base out with some of our reclaimed boxcar oak.”

Strong stuff.
