Without live sports, we’re back to appreciating Michael Jordan.

His career and competitive spirit, of course. But also: his whiskey glass.

Two non-basketball things caught our eyes during the first part of ESPN’s new docuseries The Last Dance: MJ’s ubiquitous consumption of cigars and his always-full whiskey tumbler. Retirement is good for the greatest basketball player of all time, aside from the basketball-like substance that is the Charlotte Hornets.

From what we can infer, Jordan is almost definitely sipping from a Waterford Crystal tumbler. Not only does the Irish-based, long-running crystal consumer-goods brand (acquired by Fiskars in 2015) make some of the nicest glassware available, they’re pretty much a staple in any home bar of note (their glasses make up about 90% of our home collection).

The Connoisseur Set of Waterford glasses offers very small but distinct variations on what MJ is sipping from. The set includes six crystal double old-fashioned glasses crafted from Lismore, Araglin, Powerscourt, Colleen, Alana and Irish Lace patterns.

A few other whisky/whiskey tumblers we’ve enjoyed that are a little more affordable (we’ll leave the Glencairns and snifters for another day):
