America’s Best National Park Is Now Home to America’s Best Trailer Park

You probably should've booked, like, yesterday

Vintage trailers are pretty much the snazziest way to hit the backcountry (not that being snazzy is necessarily something you should be concerning yourself in the wild, but that’s a conversation for a different day).

For most of us, though, buying (and, in all likelihood, subsequently refurbishing) a vintage trailer makes for an investment that sounds way better in theory than practice. Hence the allure of renting: all the joy, none of the overhead.

And now you can rent your own trailer in perhaps the greatest outdoor playground in all of North America.

Yosemite Pines RV and Family Lodging, located just outside of one of the oldest and largest U.S. National Parks, just restored three classic trailers for rent on their facilities.

On offer:

  • A Silver Avion 34′ (sleeps four)
  • A Silver Avion 31′ (sleeps four)
  • And a Boles Aero 32′ (sleeps four with room for a baby)

All the above are currently book-one-night, get-one-free, and have flat screen TVs with Blu-ray players, furnished decks with gas grills and access to the site’s swimming pools. And since Yosemite Pines runs shuttles into the park, you don’t have to pay entrance fees or deal with parking, which is notoriously frustrating. They also have a bike rental program for mountain bikers and host guided whitewater trips.

It might sound crazy to book now for next summer, but Yosemite sees four million visitors annually, most of them in the summer. Luck does favor the prepared.
