You may have plans of going straight to the top.

But until you’re perched on a ranch built into the crater of a volcano in the middle of the Mojave Desert, have you really made it?

Let us direct your wallets and eyes to the Volcano Home of Huell Howser, now for sale by Brady Sandahl to the tune of $650,000.

It’s just east of Barstow in the Mojave and comes with its own pond for rowing boats and cooling off.

And it’s constructed at the tip-top of a cinder cone 150 feet above the ground.

With 360-degree views from its wraparound porch, the domed home catches the best sunsets and sunrises, not to mention the kind of stargazing that would have Neil deGrasse Tyson coming over for dinner.

Howser, who passed away in 2013, was a Tennessee boy who made a name for himself as the host of California’s Gold, a public television show in which he highlighted California’s hidden treasures. The Volcano House was his dream home, a 2BR/2BA that’s been carefully renovated to preserve all its mid-century swagger.
