Despite extreme temperatures, a lack of dependable food and water sources and the machinations of at least one dastardly coyote, the desert is a beautiful place to spend — if not a lifetime — at least the occasional long weekend.
Especially if a new hotel concept from London-based Henry Goss Architects ever comes to fruition.
Renderings of the estimated $15 million super-luxury “B&B” in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert reveal a languid retreat fully at ease in its Southwestern environs. The seamless design strikes an elegant balance between landscape and structure, with exposed concrete, wood and glass rising from a luminescent indoor/outdoor pool that snakes its way around the property.
The design is intended as a couples retreat (it can accommodate up to eight people), with plenty of intimate spaces strewn throughout for low-key canoodling.
That said, it looks fit for one hell of a pool party as well.
