This Is the Buckingham Palace of Camping Tents

It sleeps 12. Comfortably.

At the end of a long day of hiking, fishing and the beer-drinking that usually attends hiking and fishing, sleeping space in a tent can become as coveted as Manhattan real estate.

Sure to be a hit with campers nationwide, the Lodge Tent has got sleeping space in spades.

With 180 square feet of interior room (that’s enough space to sleep up to 12), the Lodge Tent from Barebones Living is strong enough to hold a half ton of snow on its roof and handle 90-MPH winds once its stakes and nylon tie-downs have been properly tethered. The Lodge Tent’s shell is made from a custom treated polyester-nylon weave and its poles are lightweight aluminum, so despite its size, the portable shelter is a relatively manageable 250 pounds packed.

Add in 10 windows, two ceiling vents and a pair of floor-to-ceiling doors at either end and you’ve got an expertly ventilated lodge where sweat won’t be an issue. However, if you want it to be, there is an integrated port for a wood-burning stove.

Retailing for $3,790, the Lodge Tent’s fabric is guaranteed for five years, while the poles are good for life.

Stove not included.
