Well, this is one way to deal with scathing press coverage of allegedly difficult working conditions.
The peasants employees at Amazon’s corporate headquarters in Seattle will soon enjoy the climate-controlled natural wonderland of a sprawling treehouse complex.

Expected to open in 2018, the treehouse will shelter more than the firm’s famously weary employees: it will also protect “more than 3,000 species of plants, many of which are endangered.” As the New York Times — apparently the company’s most meticulous observer — positions it, the treehouse bets on two outcomes: that research connecting improved mood with exposure to nature are correct, and that workers will actually have time to visit the complex.
They better, or it’ll be empty: for now, tours for the public peasants are TBD.
