You could say it's their most immersive experience

Here’s the closest you’ll ever get to living in that yellow submarine.

The chance comes courtesy of a contest from BBC America and Airbnb. Enter and win, and you’ll gain access the Alucia, the 180-foot-long research vessel operated by ocean exploration firm OceanX and recently featured in Blue Planet II.

The ship’s best amenity? Two bright yellow submarines.

As part of Airbnb’s ongoing “Night At” series, the Alucia will take three contest winners (each get a guest) separately on a three-day, two-night research trip in the Bahamas, complete with a subsurface journey in one of the vessel’s two submersibles.

BBC producer Orla Doherty — who has spent more than 500 hours on the Alucia — is hosting the event and the ship’s crew will also be aboard during the trip, so guests should be prepared eat, sleep (and possibly drink) like sailors.

To enter for a chance to win, all you have to do is write a 50 to 550-character response to this statement and question from Airbnb:

“You don’t need to be an astronaut to discover a new world. Our oceans are teeming with bizarre species and dramatic, alien-like landscapes. Tell us about your ideal deep sea adventure — what do you dream of exploring beneath the waves?”

All entries must be submitted by February 10th at 4 a.m. PST.
