This is about as clear as a message can get. A series of billboards in California for the hydrogen fuel cell-powered Toyota Mirai will help clean the air pollution around it.
The billboards were created in partnership with advertising agency Clear Channel Outdoor Americas.
From April 3 to May 28, 37 of the air-cleaning billboards will dot roadsides in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. The billboard was created using titanium dioxide coated vinyl that helps to purify smog-choked air. When oxygen from the air reacts with the material, the nitrogen oxide in air pollution is converted to nitrate and removed from the air.
This is the first time the technology has ever been used in the U.S., per Clear Channel.
