Remember Skiing as a Kid? Vintage Winter Does.

Decorate your home with handsome relics from skiing’s heyday

Today is a good day to remember what it was like to be a kid playing in the snow.

Because it’s f*cking hot out there.

But also because we want to introduce you to Vintage Winter, an antique winter sports retailer that offers blasts from your alpine past along with ski-themed home decor for your chalet.

The Colorado-based store started as an online museum in 2003, eventually branching out into a store filled with antique and one-of-a-kind winter gear, including wooden skis (dating back to the 1800s), bamboo and hickory poles, old-school Burton snowboards, climbing gear, lace-up leather boots, vintage snowshoes, wooden ice axes, vintage ski posters and more.

And, hey, ski bunnies from 1948!

Newer gear might be a little more sleek, but how cool are you gonna look in these 1940s glacier goggles from the 10th Mountain Division, used by U.S. soldiers in WWII during battles on Italian mountainsides?

And VW also handcrafts alpine home decor, so you can furnish your chalet with beautiful wood ski wine racks, sled entry benches and standing ski coat racks.

It’s also great for a source of winter sports knowledge — What is the history of snowshoes, anyway?

If skiing isn’t quite on your mind yet (though it could be), Vintage also has a summer-themed series of decor, including a canoe bookcase made from reclaimed hardwood and a handmade rowboat bar (which you can pair with oar barstools).

For the après part of your summer activities.
