You can do better than delivery.

You can do better than DiGiorno.

But you can’t do much better than GE’s new in-home Monogram Pizza Oven, a smartphone-connected console that can cook “Neapolitan to New York style” pizzas and “everything in between” in just two minutes.

It takes the oven half an hour to preheat to the recommended 800 degrees — which you can do with a flick of a finger once you have it hooked up to your smartphone. And then: two minutes a pie until your sides ache. If that’s too long to wait, the oven’s 14 heating elements can fire its internal temperature up to 1,200 degrees and potentially cook pies even faster.

While you should pay attention so as to not turn your fingers into garlic knots, you won’t have to sweat about special installation or construction, because the oven has a compact interior ventilation system that is meant to be installed easily and requires just a standard 240-volt outlet for juice.

At $9,900, it might cost you a bit more than the pizza you had delivered in college, but it isn’t out until May, so you’ve got time to scrounge the 39,600 quarters you’ll need to buy it out of your couch cushions in the meantime.
