Unless you’re a close personal friend of Mario, Luigi or Princess Toadstool, you probably haven’t been able to get your hands on one of Nintendo’s hard-to-find NES Classic Editions.

Since that issue won’t be resolved anytime soon, we’d suggest setting your sights on another piece of retro gaming gear: the Game Boy.

Designed by Retro-Bit to mimic the classic handheld gaming system without violating copyright laws, the Super Retro Boy can play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance cartridges as well as the 10-in-1 game cartridge that comes with it.

Equipped with the device’s classic movement pad and four control buttons, the gaming gadget has a shatter-resistant screen and uses a powerful battery that provides 10 hours of gameplay.

With an anticipated MSRP of $79.99, Super Retro Boys  should be available in August.

If you can’t wait, this model won’t fit in your pocket, but it will let you get your retro game on.
