How many flannel shirts does a person really need? After checking out these updated takes on the classic fall layer from Saturdays NYC, the answer is at least one more. The Ryan style is available in three colorways (botanical, black olive and mandarin) that are unlike anything we’re accustomed to seeing in brushed cotton flannel (no grandpa plaids here), and there are a number of nice details if you look closely, like the narrow cuff and embroidered script above the left chest pocket.
Yuengling x Hersey’s Chocolate Porter
Yuengling already managed to sum up this polarizing collaboration when they uttered the phrase, “America loves beer and America loves chocolate.” The end product is a Hersey’s inflicted version of Yuengling’s 200-year-old Dark Brewed Porter recipe; wether you love it or hate it, you must admit that it makes you feel something, and in these trying times, isn’t that really all you can hope for?
Wolverine 1000 Mile x Old Rip Van Winkle Batch 2 Boot
For the second year in a row these American bootmakers and the legendary whiskey brand have teamed up for a pair of rugged but refined footwear. Each boot features a heel made from bourbon barrels that held this year’s release of the Van Winkle Special Reserve for the last 10 years. And 100% of the revenue from the sale of these very limited-edition boots will go to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation Work Ethic Scholarship Program to help support the next generation of skilled trade workers across the country.

MONOGRAPH by Jake Longstreth
Jake Longstreth, Renaissance dude that he is, has managed to wow the world with his latest exhibition at the Nino Mier Gallery in Los Angeles. Entitled “Seasonal Concepts”, the show revolves around a series of paintings featuring cooperate food America in all its glory, like a scenic Taco Bell location, or the artists pizza wall self portrait. Luckily, even if you can’t make it out to the show, you can still pre-order Mr. Longstreth’s Monograph on the gallery’s website.
Buck Mason Waxed Jackets
The waxed jacket category just got a little more interesting this week as Buck Mason added two new options into its outerwear collection: the Highland Jacket and the N1 Deck Jacket. The former is a chore coat with a silhouette closer to what you’d expect from Barbour, but with an added blanket lining. The latter is for people who want the hardwearing construction of waxed canvas in a more modern style (though there’s blanket lining here, too). Interestingly, the 14-ounce dry wax canvas is produced by an 150-year-old Scottish mill, so there’s heritage built into these new iterations, too.

Echo Show 15
The Alexa-assisted bedside display gets boosted up to a 15.6″ screen that can be mounted on a wall. Ideally suited for your kitchen, the Show becomes a small secondary TV, a digital art display, video call center, permanent digital cookbook (or whatever widgets you want to use) and even a place you can send a note directly to a specific family member (which will only show up when Alexa recognizes them in front of the device). Loro Piana Ryder Cup Collection
No lame green jacket here — the Loro Piana performance collection, designed for Team Europe at the 2021 Ryder Cup, looks like it could have just as easily sauntered off the runways as the green. The Italian-designed capsule features eight different pieces, including polos, trousers and even a parka (winter is coming, after all).
ITA Leisure Table
ITA Leisure, a new-ish design company, firmly believes you should have something called a leisure table, and we’re inclined to agree. The studio’s latest collection, which features the Leisure Kit (a portable chair and table), is simple, chic, and immaculately crafted. Get you a little table!
Yeezy x Gap Perfect Hoodie
First, Kanye West dropped a nylon puffer as the debut garment in his Gap partnership. It sold out almost immediately despite being released in the summer. This week, the second Yeezy x Gap item was released, and thankfully it was more seasonally appropriate. The Perfect Hoodie was available in six colors for both adults ($90) and kids ($70)— “was”being the operative word, because naturally it also sold out insanely fast. You can sign up for updates when the next garment arrives, or you could go buy a nondescript hoodie literally anywhere else.

Continuing the tradition, designer Christophe Lemaire has teamed up yet again with Japanese menswear giant Uniqlo for the Uniqlo U Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Featuring a slew of styles, the neutral-heavy capsule subverts modern sartorial expectation with its idiosyncratic basics and impeccable attention to detail. The Flannel Work Jacket and Pant, featured above, especially stand out as a clear cut above the average-joe winter suit.
SYMFONISK Lamp Speaker
A sequel to the table lamp speaker that launched in 2019, this collaboration between Sonos and IKEA promises a better (and more expansive) sound experience and updated, customizable designs, including different color options for the base, shade and the bulbs. You can connect SYMFONISK with other Sonos products or use it as your main speaker. It goes on sale Oct. 12.
Reebok x Beams Club C Laceless Mules
All aboard the mulement train, next stop, timeless kicks. Japanese style expert Beams has collaborated with Reebok on. aversion of the Club C that leaves us scratching our heads as to why we ever wore laces in the first place (or anything other than mules, for that matter). Dressed up nice with premium leather and an all white, minimalist design, these are the perfect shoes to test out the waters for anyone wanting to get into the sneaker pool without diving headfirst into the Yeezy deep end.
