TAG Heuer x Bamford x Black Badger Carrera Calibre 5 Watches

Each week, our inbox runneth over with news of gear, apparel and tech releases from around the world. In this feature, we’ll parse through the best of them. Today: a self-cleaning water bottle, a loungewear collection from Lebron Jamesand a borderline dangerous spiked seltzer.

Bellroy Premium Collection

Bellroy, known primarily for their high quality leather wallets, but also for their very good fabric bags, are now making those bags in leather, which makes a whole lot of sense.

LIZ, The Self-Cleaning Smart Water Bottle

While we’re all proud to be good, eco-conscious human beings who drink from our reusable water bottles, we don’t often like to admit that our bottles can get pretty disgusting — be honest, when was the last time you cleaned yours? Well, now you no longer have to worry about what’s festering in there thanks to LIZ — the smart bottle that uses UV-C light sterilization to kill viruses and odor-causing bacteria in an empty or full bottle.

Patagonia Men’s Macro Puff™ Hoody

You can have your puny “Micro Puff.” This new, bolder sibling in the Patagonia puffy hoodie family is built with a recycled nylon ripstop shell (everything-proof, natch) and filled with a down-like alternative called PlumaFill, which’ll continue to keep you warm when it gets wet. Is it December yet?

Goodfellow & Co: Men’s Grooming

Target’s Goodfellow & Co. now sells men’s grooming products which are both economical compared to other brands on the market (which is to be expected from Target) and built to address skincare and grooming needs that some other brands come up short on (which was less expected).

The Schon Horology Dot Prismatic and Dot Cardinal

Last time we checked in with Ian Schon, the one-man mechanical-watch machine behind Schon Horology, he was dealing in one-of-one custom timepieces. That kind of involvement sounds great, but it isn’t for everyone. Thus, the Dot Collection was born: two American-made, CNC-machined watches, now available and limited to 50 pieces each. (Yes, you can still customize some elements.)

Online Ceramics Becoming Nobody Movie Shirt

The hippie duo that makes the tie-dye shirts that everybody wants to rock has teamed up with their spiritual leader. The result is these shirts that your 20-year-old nephew who thinks John Mayer founded Dead and Co. will covet.

Birdwell Beach Britches Newport Jacket

Like a cross between a Harrington and a Bomber, the Newport Jacket from noted board short purveyors Birdwell Beach Britches is a handsome, versatile outer layer that is just begging to be worn on chilly nights at a beachside bar.

TAG Heuer x Bamford x Black Badger Carrera Calibre 5 Watches

If Tag Heuer’s notably understated dress watch, the Carrera Calibre 5, is to tame for you, well, we give you this brand new version, which is anything but tame. Created in collaboration with Bamford and Black Badger, these watches feature blacked out bracelets and cases, with wild-looking dials designed with a substance called Fordite, which is collected overspray from car factories. Each watch is 1 of 1.

Air Jordan IV Cool Grey

The Air Jordan IV is among the more wearable of all the Jordan silhouettes, (up there with the 1s and 3s), and this new Cool Grey colorway doubles down on that wearability. It’s understated and super clean, but it features gold embellishments on the tongue and in the air unit for a a bit of added elegance. It’s already sold out in most sizes at nike.com, but some of the cooler stores in your area should still have ’em in stock.

Unknwn Hotel

The clothing company owned in part by noted basketball dad LeBron James has just unveiled its Hotel collection, a line of high-end “travel basics” like sweatshirts, joggers and slides. We’re not totally clear on what makes them more suitable for travel than, say, just lounging around, but they look great regardless.

Beau Lake Electric Boats

Battery-powered boats inspired by the classic stylings of the vintage lake runabout, these silent watercraft feature upholstered seats, a hand-carved mahogany tiller, and a removable two-compartment cooler with (because why not?) charcuterie board. Hey, lake life ain’t complete without assorted meats, cheeses and cornichons.

Air Jordan 3 Retro Tinker

Another ultra-wearable pair of Jordans here, this one based on Tinker Hatfield’s original design, featuring the swoosh that was eventually cut from the shoe Michael would wear. A white version came out last year, but this one’s even better.

Planing Collection: Patagonia Surf Wet/Dry Bags

Now your wet and dry clothes can live in harmony with this collection of Surf Wet/Dry Bags from Patagonia. The collection includes totes, backpacks, and duffel bags with compartments to keep wet gear separate so your clothes stay dry and organized.

Rumpl NanoLoft™ Puffy Blanket

Rumpl has redesigned its Original Puffy Blanket…with 60 plastic bottles. The recycled bottles are respun into high-quality polyester thread and still provide the same warmth and comfort as their non-water bottle produced blankets. This is the company’s first-ever synthetic alternative to down and by the end of 2019, Rumpl will save 3 million plastic bottles from being dumped into landfills.

Flint and Tinder Bedford Camp Shirt

You know Flint and Tinder, Huckberry’s in-house brand. You know the quality of their workwear-inspired style. So what makes this shirt jacket stand out? Its release is the first sign of fall, baby! OK, not just that. The layer also features Bedford fabric (“a cousin to corduroy,” but lighter), metal snaps and pockets galore.

BON & VIV Spiked Seltzer

The drink of the summer just got a bit more dangerous. BON & VIV are giving us a new flavor of their popular spiked seltzer that tastes like regular old seltzer water and getting plastered. The “classic” flavor will go down even smoother than the originals, but it still has 4.5% ABV, so make sure to drink some non-alcoholic water in between.
