Which is why we are at once thrilled and dismayed by the announcement of world’s first olfactory alarm clock.
The Sensorwake is pre-programmed to do something man has dreamt about for a long time: dispense six smells via dry-air diffusion meant to rouse you from your slumber in the morning.
Those smells? Espresso, hot croissant, seaside (monoi, tiare flower), lush jungle (cut grass, leaves), chocolate and peppermint.
Which begs the obvious question: Where the f*** is bacon?
Scrappled during development, according to reports. The good news? High demand could bring it back, according to those same reports.
The $89 clock, which does have a beeping backup alarm and is available for preorder, is made in France and includes 100% recyclable smell capsules that can be activated without a chemical reaction. They say they’ll begin shipping orders to countries in the U.S., France, UK, Germany, Australia, South Korea and Japan in June.
As to what exactly they think they’ll be shipping to the U.S. without bacon on the roster? Your guess is as good as ours.
