One of Nike’s best running shoes, the Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2, is currently $33 off in the Black/Gunsmoke/Atmosphere Grey/White colorway.
The Pegasus Turbo 2 shares some DNA with Nike’s hyper-fast (and hyper-controversial) Vaporflys, which have been dismantling records since runners started lacing them up three years ago. Notice that tall heel? It’s infused with a similar ZoomX midsole to what you’d find on the Vaporfly. Nike’s cloud-like pillow is designed to propel runners forward.
That neutral cushioning also protects the plantar fascia, and can help prevent lateral pronation. (If you’ve ever noticed the outside of your shoes shaved down a ton after excessive wear, this sneaker is for you.)
I’ve had this running shoe in my personal rotation for about six months now, and I appreciate its versatility more than anything else. It’s light enough for me to rip on tempo days, but has enough meat to handle my Sunday long runs. Make moves while sizing is still decent.
