Put This Sticker on Your Phone for 25% More Battery Life

Think of it as an air-conditioner that’s one atom thick

Graphene is the new diamond.

Both are allotropes (science nerd for “physical forms in which an element can exist”) of carbon. But beyond that, the don’t have a whole lot in common.

One (the diamond) is a thing you post pictures of on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat to let everyone know you’re getting married. The other (graphene) will make the smartphone you use to post those pictures last up to 25% longer.

That’s because graphene is the raw material from which the NanoSticker, NanoSkin and NanoCase are built. These new smartphone accessories use the one-atom-thick, Nobel Prize-winning material not to juice your phone up, but to cool it down.

“The makers of the NanoSkin say [it’s] enough to significantly reduce power drain, especially if you’re doing something intensive like streaming video or playing games,” writes New Atlas.

Currently, you can pick up a NanoSkin for an iPhone 6 or 6s to extend your phone’s battery life by 20-25%. For everyone else, there’s the NanoSticker, which will end your device up to a 15% increase. More options, as well as the NanoCase and NanoInside powerbank, are coming soon.

Until then, you’ll find us on our graphene yacht.
