You may not realize that you have an issue with Apple’s pentalobe screws, but trust us, you do.

Also referred to as “Evil Proprietary Tamper Proof Five Point Screws,” pentalobes are used on Apple products like MacBooks and iPhones to stop DIYers from repairing their devices at home. You know, so you have to pay them to do it.

To help right this wrong, repair advice site iFixit has created a specialized toolkit that will save Apple customers with busted devices time, money and from potentially running into this guy. Equipped with all the screwdriver bits, precision tweezers and pry tools you need to deal with broken screens or pull off battery swaps, the Essential Electronics Toolkit is priced at just $20.

Apple won’t like it, but that’s a small price to pay for a lifetime of avoiding their flagship stores.
