Fjällräven has been churning out outdoor backpacks and jackets since 1960, after its young founder Åke Nordin made a cotton rucksack centered around a wooden frame, meant to position the pack higher on his spine — a revolutionary concept for the time. These days, the Swedish label continues to adapt and create, dropping as many functional hiking packs as it releases urban backpacks and gym bags.

The brand’s latest drop with Huckberry is a mix of both. The 23L Ulvö Rolltop is comprised of a 100% recycled nylon shell, and a reliable option for commutes, short weekends, picnics, whatever. Meanwhile the Greenland Duffel is made of G-1000 HeavyDuty Eco textile, and looks like it could be dropped from a plane. That’s your guy for an expedition somewhere gnarly.

Below, find a few of our favorites. Fjällräven seems to have committed to just black and forest green for this fall release, so if you can make your peace with that (we’re into it) get cracking.
