This Chatbot Will Save You $450 on Airline Tickets Every Year

DoNotPay negotiates lower hotel and air fares — for free

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.

This one is automated. And it’s going to save you money from shady airlines.

DoNotPay, the bot that formerly got people out of parking tickets and helped them sue Equifax, now offers to help remunerate you for exorbitant travel expenses, all without you doing any heavy lifting.

Their protection plan works as thus: DNP searches for travel confirmations in your inbox (yes, you’ll need to give the bot a credit card and permission to access your email). The site claims it uses 256-bit encryption and will never store your credentials or look at your personal emails, for what it’s worth.

Then, when a price drops on a flight or hotel, a “robot lawyer” uses legal loopholes — 24-hour rebookings, weather warnings and price gouging laws — to negotiate a cheaper price or rebook you. It’ll also fight for payment due to lose luggage, flight delays or other issues.

According to DoNotPay designer Joshua Browder, you can save an average of $450 per year. And unlike the airlines, there are no fees here; you get 100% of what you’re owed.
