I’ve owned a pair of these gloves for years and they’ve shown very few signs of wear. They’re made from durable goat leather with a light synthetic lining. They’re warm enough to wear on zero degree days, but I prize them most for their durability — they’re great for stacking wood.

Use the Surge as a base layer for skiing, a mid-layer on a chilly run, or over a polo at the office. The versatile layer is made from a lightweight polyester-spandex blend that wicks sweat, stretches and breathes.

A good chair is a must-have for anyone who camps. The Chair One, is my favorite. It’s collapsible, packs easily into its carrying case, and supports up to 300 pounds.
Teva Ember Moc
There’s been a new trend of puffy camp shoes recently. Part slipper, part sneaker, the Ember Moc takes the cake. It has a durable rubber sole, comfortable EVA foam midsole, and a stylish quilted upper. My favorite part? The collapsable heal, which allows for hands-free slipping on.
Yeti M30 Cooler
Yeti has become as much about status symbol as cooling power, but there’s no doubt that their products perform. Of all the coolers in their line up, the M30 is the best for most people. The 30-liter capacity holds enough beer and food for an overnight and the unique magnetic opening makes it a breeze to access.
WESN QR and CB Keychain Accessories
I love everyday carry accessories and WESN makes some of the best. The titanium QR quick release and CB carabiner have become permanent additions to my keychain. The QR is definitely the most stylish and well built quick release I’ve ever seen. I use it to easily separate my car key from the rest of my keys when I’m on a run or going to the gym. And the CB has a minimalist spring-loaded design that makes it one of the most unique carabiners on the market.
Purist Mover Water Bottle
Fill the Mover with hot chocolate for a weekend escape and then use it as a water bottle during the week. No matter what you put in it, the unbreakable interior glass finish won’t hold on to flavors.
66North Snaefell Jacket
Iceland-based 66North makes some of the most durable and high-performance jackets on the market. The Snaefell is created from 3-layer Polartec Neoshell fabric, making it one of the most breathable and waterproof jackets you can buy. It’s great as an outer layer for any wet weather pursuits or throw a puffy under it and wear it skiing.

Thermarest Compressible Camp Pillow
A good pillow is a key to a restful night sleeping in the backcountry. After years of testing, this is my favorite. It’s interior is made from closed cell foam that inflates as soon as you open the valve.
Granite Gear Crown2 60 Backpack
No matter if you’re a novice or experienced backpacker, the Crown2 60 liter is an excellent backpack capable of carrying days worth of supplies. At just over two pounds, it’s quite lightweight, but doesn’t sacrifice comfort or features. It has a fully adjustable hip belt and should straps and stretchy mesh front pocket, which is great for keeping wet clothes away from the rest of your gear.

Easily the best bang for your buck camping stove on the market, the Pocket Rocket’s simple design has been imitated but never bettered. The tiny stove screws onto any butane or propane gas canister and boils a liter of water in just three minutes.
