New York first, then ... the world?

The area around 42nd Street in New York City is home to its fair share of costumed characters.

Your Naked Cowboy. Your Cookie Monster. Your really unfriendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Later this year, a new set of costumed characters will be joining the party: the Playboy Bunnies.

As part of a partnership with Merchants Hospitality and Cachet Hospitality Group, Playboy Enterprises is bringing the Playboy Club back to NYC at the Cachet Boutique Hotel.

Hostesses, waitresses and cocktail servers at the club will dress in traditional Playboy Bunny attire while attending to guests in the venue’s planned lounge, game room and upscale dining room.

When the establishment opens its doors, it will mark the Playboy Club’s return to the city where it originally opened a location on 59th Street in 1962 before closing up shop in 1986.

“The reintroduction of the Playboy Club to New York is a huge milestone for us as we continue to reinvent our brand for new audiences all around the world,” said Playboy VP Valerie Golson.
