House of Future Original Sneaker
These low-profile sneakers (“favored by style icons from James Dean to Steve McQueen”…sure!) are made with a high-tech, micro-leather upper….which means they’re abrasion and water resistant. And on sale for only $88.
Il Murso Energy Bites
Put down the coffee. These chocolate bites are your delicious energy supplement replacement, with the same amount of caffeine as a shot of espresso. Now only $35 for a pack of 40, or less than a buck per piece. Take that, Star-lots-o-bucks (feel free to use that).
Aerial Hardside Carry On Spinner
New from organizational gurus Genius Pack (they make a backpack with integrated suiter that we own and like … which is also on sale), this max-sized carry-on features a separate laundry compartment and multiple interior pockets. For weekend trips, it’s your OCD fantasy, and launching at $68 off.
Basil Hayden’s Rye Whiskey
Already one of our favorite bourbons (which was rye-centric to begin with), Basil Hayden’s just launched a limited-edition Kentucky straight rye. It’s got some spice, sure, but for a rye it’s remarkably smooth — credit in part to the two-tiered aging process. We tested it out pre-release last week, and it works incredibly well in cocktails. New at $44.99.
Speaking of cocktails, here’s a Rye Whiskey Ginger Buck recipe we tested (and liked) from NYC mixologist Mackenzie Gleason (The Wayland):
2 parts Basil Hayden’s ® Rye Whiskey
1 part Lime Juice
1/2 part Fresh Ginger
1/3 part Simple Syrup
Sprig of Rosemary (for garnish)
Candied Ginger (for garnish)
Add fresh ginger in a cocktail shaker and muddle until fine. Add all remaining ingredients and ice to the cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and piece of candied ginger on the rim.
