It’s like Studio 54, but all grown up

“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

Those are the words of French writer/bon vivant Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

And we’re inclined to agree with him — especially when we’re talking date night.

So here’s your plan: look sharp, head to a mysterious hotel’s new pop-up chophouse, and then finish with drinks at the newest rooftop from which the city can be seen.

Now get out there and make that wish a reality.

THE ‘FIT
It’s hot out there, man. Let’s embrace the short suit and, while we’re at it, some dang color for once. The new lightweight number from Onu should do the trick. Pair with a button-up from the newly opened Mizzen+Main in Soho, a pocket square from Midtown’s Tie Bar pop-up and some kicks from the fresh Carhartt WIP x Converse collab.

THE EATS
We are almost always looking for a new excuse to kick down the door of The McKittrick Hotel. And the new limited-engagement Club Car will do just fine. The concept is a residency with renowned chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr. It’s a surf ‘n’ turf affair combining chophouse expertise, French techniques and New Orleans flare. The three-course meal is centered around a dry-aged boneless ribeye dressed with one of four luxe seafood preparations. Set in a revamped art deco space that formerly hosted The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, it’s $65 a pop.

THE FINISHING TOUCH
That short suit is about to come in handy, as things are about to heat up. Post-dinner, wander over to the highly anticipated, freshly minted Public Hotel, courtesy of the legendary Ian Schrager. It’s trés sexy in there. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron, it’s the city’s newest locale for snagging a rooftop cocktail, taking in some live beats and cutting a rug. And, hey, should things go swimmingly, their rooms begin at just $150 a night. G’luck, soldier.
