Chances are if you’re here or elsewhere, you’re eating Pat LaFrieda meats anyway. The household name has a lock on the city’s beef market, so why not go straight to the source? For $15, you’re not sinking your teeth into skirt steak. That’s filet mignon, good sir. Also of note, LaFrieda serves an equally wow-inducing black angus number for $15.

This quaint French bistro bar tucked away in Harlem serves up a mean Steam sammie. It’s grilled hanger with onions, peppers and a fried egg. Very greasy and well worth the jaunt, especially if you’re hungover.

You only live once. Might as well do it up. The $180 Wagyu steak sandwich has descended upon NYC at new spot Don Wagyu. Their ultra-premium sandwich is the A5 Ozaki, with 5 oz. of prime cut nestled between crustless white bread lightly toasted in steak butter. The price owes to the fact that the beef comes from an out-of-this-world farm in Miyazaki, which only sends five cows to America each month — and they only come here. It’s aged to perfection for 36 months and ready to burn a hole in your pocket. Be forewarned, you’ll probably moan out loud on impact.
