First full work week of the new year: finito.

Time to celebrate with with the help of your favorite secreted-away SoMa lunch counter and their newly spun-off watering hole, Victory Hall & Parlor.

A partnership between waffle doyenne Deanna Sison Foster of the adjoining Little Skillet and ace bartender Mia Weening, Victory is serving up the same bites that keep Ritch Street bustling through the lunch hour, but with added niceties like tables, plush seats and one of those fully stocked bars we hear are all the rage.

Brass tacks: this is your new downtempo spot to close out business or continue the night in style — the epitome of “I know a great place right around the corner.”

With full access to Little Skillet’s daily menu (think chicken and waffles) alongside exclusive bar offerings, you won’t go hungry.

Toss in their expansive program of homespun tipples and your only real quandary should be what to try first.

We suggest pitting the Cajun Fried Oysters against the reposado con citrus Paloma Roja. And you can’t go wrong with their Burger Burger and a Buffalo Soldier — because bourbon and beef win.

Hello weekend. (Yes. They do brunch.)
