A nightmarish sexual attack may have actually been committed while the perp was asleep.

Nick Liu, an unemployed, 27-year-old investment analyst living in Manhattan, was accused of sexually assaulting his roommate’s model girlfriend, per the New York Post.

Liu’s defense was that he had been sleepwalking during the attack, and thus was not fully responsible for his actions.

But Liu’s own girlfriend even took the stand, recounting that he had molested her in her sleep “twice a month,” while allegedly sleepwalking.

The jury agreed with his defense and acquitted him. He had been charged with a misdemeanor forcible touching and third-degree sex abuse.
