You Can Now Go Narwhal Watching With Alex Trebek
Answer: This amazing vacation package features the Canadian Arctic and a sometimes insufferable host.
What is Narwhal watching with Alex Trebek?
Arctic Kingdom is now offering a “Narwhal & Polar Bear Safari” that departs next June, wherein up to 16 travelers can tag along with Trebek, the Jeopardy host who also serves as the Honorary President of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society — the organization that helped put together this unique tour package together.
Travelers will fly into Canada’s Baffin Island and stay in a yurt safari camp. While up north, they’ll experience the area’s wondrous wildlife, which includes the tusked narwhal (natch), as well as an array of polar bears, harp seals, bowhead whales, beluga and thousands of birds at the nearby Bylot Island MIgratory Bird Sanctuary.
It’s above freezing this time of year, and everyone on the trip will have 24 hours of daylight each day to witness the beautiful Arctic landscape, kayak/snorkel amongst the whales and take a snowmobile- or qamutik-led tour. Or just hang out at camp trying to get Trebek to say “Turd Ferguson.”
Interested? The trip begins June 18 and costs a bit over $10,000.
