Meet Potato Parcel. It’s Exactly What You Think It Is.

Valentine's Day: solved.

From cave paintings to telegrams to emojis on toast, humans have always proved adept at creating new modes of communication. Thanks to a half-baked idea from a San Francisco-based firm, you can now add potatoes to the list. Available in a number of different styles, Potato Parcels are custom-designed taters that can be covered with photos or messages of up to 130 characters and shipped anywhere in the country. The company operates anonymously and won’t reveal a sender’s identity unless asked to do so, and each potato ships in protective packaging to keep it safe in transit. Prices start at $9.99 and Potato Parcel has started to accommodate some international orders.

Is this unqualifiably stupid? Yes. Did at least one InsideHook editor just send his Christmas Thank-Yous out via potato? Also yes.
