President Trump says he wants to “bring back coal” — to do so, he should look to Britain’s cinematic past.
The nostalgia site Flashbak recently “unearthed” (see what I did there?) a 1975 recruitment video from Britain’s National Coal Board that seemed to promise potential coal miners a lifetime of beautiful women, ski vacations and cocktails.
And guns. And short shorts for playing squash.
It’s hilarious in hindsight, yes, but apparently the NCB had a quite a prolific and respected film unit for nearly forty years.
