After a degenerative eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa stole his sight over the course of four years, Dan Mancina was left with just 5% of his vision, essentially just shadows and lights.

As you can see, Mancina skateboarding with 5% of his vision is better than most of us with 100.

Mancina worked in a skate shop and was an experienced rider before he lost his sight, so even though the RP took his sight, it didn’t take his deck skills.

“The little section [of vision] I have helps when I’m moving really slow, like pretty much helps me not run into large objects,” he told Jenkem. “When I skate I can’t see my skateboard or my feet.”

Well we can see you man, and we appreciate ya.
