Presenting the Best of National Nude Day Because America

The holiday's origins are disputed, but we don’t know or care

July 14th, for whatever reason, is National Nude Day.

According to some, the holiday began in New Zealand in 1976, which, if accurate, would mean that this is actually the 40th National Nude Day in our nation’s proud history.

(How a U.S. national holiday could have started in New Zealand is puzzling and there also appears to have been a Nude Day in May, but the point is people are nude and isn’t that what really matters?)

Regardless of how it started, it’s our patriotic duty to acknowledge the 14th in all its glory, so we’ve put together a collection of Nude Day photos from the today and year’s past.

All of the photos below were posted with the #NationalNudeDay hashtag and they showcase the most artistic, inspired and thought-provoking  … oh … wait … ah, it seems you’ve stopped reading.
