If you’re like us, you don’t like a lot of clutter in your clothing.

Find something that’s perfect and order a stack of different colors. Done. Skip the mall. Let’s go surfing.

That “skip the mall” vibe is exactly how we felt on discovering Olivers’ upgrade of their All Over Shorts. Plan your summer right, and you’ll be in them ’til November.

The original version ranks as one of Kickstarter’s most successful apparel launches. Now, these made-in-S.F. shorts have been updated based on customers’ notes, with a lightweight, moisture-wicking liner designed to keep sweat off your skin. It’s 11 percent Spandex, so it’ll move with your body.

As for the shorts themselves, it’s the same four-way stretch, moisture-killing material that made the original a classic.

Trust: Try ’em on, and you’re going to want a pair in all three colors (variations on the theme of gray).

To get you going on where best to wear them, we talked to Olivers’ brand director, Dylan Nord. These are his picks for a half-dozen Bay Area spots for a real-deal workout.

Run Cardiac Hill on the Dipsea Trail: The toughest, sweatiest way to start a Sunday morning.

Bike Old Railroad Grade up Mt. Tam: Ride, run or hike the old railway route to the top of Mt. Tamalpais.

Get lost in Land’s End Park: Discover the ruins of the Sutro Baths, a meditative rock formation known as the Land’s End Labyrinth, and even a beach side rope swing.

Surf Bolinas: Our favorite beginner or long board spot, catch waves or just good vibes in the Bay Area’s most charming beach town.

Lawn Bowling in Golden Gate Park: Join the centuries-old San Francisco Lawn Bowling club for free lessons on Wednesday and Saturdays.

Camp-to-Work Commute: Why wait for the weekend — head to the Headlands and set up camp at one of the many campgrounds Monday through Friday. Who smells like a campfire?
