Less sexy nurse. More soaking tub.

Halloween is for the kids.

The grown-up’s version? The one with “sexy” nurses and 20x Uber surcharges and those treacherous dollar store costumes that never have a good place to keep your wallet?

That Halloween’s set to blanket the city in T-minus-six days.

Solution: Just go north.

Specifically: the North Block Hotel in Yountville.

It’s one of Wine Country’s most low-key hotels. Not stuffy, not surly. Just cool.

Private balconies, personal patios, soaking tubs and fireplaces.

While you’re there, we recommend dinner at Redd Wood, the North Block’s new low-key offering from Richard Reddington. Or go full-bore with his five-course tasting menu at Redd, a French bistro that pays homage to his time in N.Y.C. at Daniel.

Then grab a drink at Pancha’s, that rarest of rare things: a dive bar in Napa. Then wake up and do wine tastings basically everywhere with the city’s “Taste Life Here” Passport, which grants you entry to a half-dozen local wineries (including our pick, Jessup Cellars).

Bonus points if you negotiate that particular adventure from the saddle of the hotel’s GenZe electric bikes.

Pour. Repeat. Soaking tub. Fireplace. Repeat.

No tricks. Just treats.
