The Stealth Suit Has Arrived

We, dear citizens, live in the Bay Area, hoodie capital of the Western world.

The last time we saw someone wearing a suit, it was either at a funeral, or on a VC from the East Coast.

Here to change that in the most comfortable way possible: Ministry of Supply, opening today.

Ministry was founded by a chemical engineer, a mountain climber and a consultant who once sewed the soles of athletic socks into his dress socks (disrupting the sock market one Dr. Scholl’s at a time!).

The gear is snappy. Like, minimalist snappy.

And they’re launching their store on Fillmore Street with a party open to the public from 6:00-9:00 p.m. (RSVP here).

Come for the snacks (courtesy of Pizza Orgasmica) and drinks (from Bluxome Street Winery) — but stay for the brand’s new Stealth Suit, with four-way stretch fabric that repels both water and UV rays.

All that technology is meant to keep you comfortable, dry and cool.

Plenty of function, and an admirable form: The Stealth Suit is sleek and chic, with a single-breasted jacket and wrinkle-free pants designed to work separately as well as they do together.

Nobody’s saying to throw away the casual wear.

But good things come to those who dress the part.
