These Bags Will Sell Out With a Quickness, Trust

An S.F. brand serves up style with a side of super function

We’ve learned a thing or two in our days covering the S.F. men’s lifestyle beat.

A) You can never know too many superlative coastal hikes. B) You can never own too many transitional jackets.

And C) Buy that super-technical limited-edition bag today, because tomorrow, it will probably be sold out.

It’s on this last point that today we bring your attention to DSPTCH’s Modern Utility collection.

Here’s what we need: a bag that’ll withstand the pressures of our commute (hello, BART floor) and the weather (variable). Plus it’s gotta look good, because the whole hoodie-and-shower-shoes thing is feeling very 2012.

The new Modern Utility scores big on all these criteria.

Each piece comes in a lightweight yet super-tough poly-nylon twill that’s engineered to withstand the rain — and repeated use.  Our pick is the day bag, with its internal laptop compartment, water bottle pocket and a handy cord-management systems for keeping everything orderly.

We also like the gym bag, with its dedicated area for the things that require isolation (say, our workout shoes).

It’s understated, sophisticated and made in the U.S.A. — a trifecta we can get behind.

Next stop: superlative coastal hike. We’ll be there, transitional jacket and utility bag in hand.
