“Never trust a man with two first names,” the old saying goes

To which we reply, “you’ve apparently never owned a bag from Billykirk.”

Because their bags are trusty. Their bags are natty. And the brothers who make them are opening their first ever retail shop today on the LES.

Billykirk began in L.A. fifteen years ago. Migrated to the East Coast in 2005.

These days, their line is made in-house and by a group of leatherworking Amish in Pennsylvania.

And damned if those buggy-racin’ bastards don’t make a helluva bag.

So here’s what you do: if you’re headed out of town, grab the leather and waxed canvas No. 166 carryall. If you’re headed to the gym, make it the No. 342 Cordura duffle.

For business and beyond bags, grab a rifle sling-inspired claw buckle belt, for starters. You’ll get compliments.

And ditch the money clip for one of Billykirk’s custom leather card cases.

Hangs on a raw steel chain.

Because you never trust a man with light fingers, either.

¹ The old saying also goes “Never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city.” But that’s just science. Or Teen Wolf. Which, by the way, was totally racist.
