If you know anything about Italian cars, you know Tod’s.

If you know anything about fashionable footwear, you also know Tod’s.

For the rest of you: Tod’s makes driving loafers — a style the company practically pioneered in the ‘60s for the express interest of keeping drivers’ feet comfortable while on the road, preferably in a beautiful Italian roadster.

It’s one of the country’s most enduring styles, a casual shoe that has since shown its versatility as a go-to pairing with shorts, suits or any outfit that could use a touch of sophisticated nonchalance.

And now, the Italian footwear aficionados are offering their iconic shoe up for personalization with My Gommino, a just-launched service where you can customize you driving loafer from rubber grommet up.

So, the possibilities with the new program are ace. Once you nail down a loafer style, you get to choose from the leather (silk alligator, anyone?) to the color of the stitching and rubber grommets on the sole. You can even emboss your initials if you so choose.

Head on over to Tod’s’ site to get your pair started.
