Great men say that the American spirit can be found in many different handmade goods: take Steinbeck, who idealized the hand-rolled cigarette, and Griswold, who admired a cartoon moose.

Get the full sweep of Americana, and get it from the country’s best handmade and artisanal products, at the just-launched Fred and Owen e-boutique.

Owen and Fred is the first-ever shop from a Brooklyn barrister who, weary of the chintzy pleather wallet disgracing his back pocket, began scouring the heartland in search of durable, handmade American goods for men.

The e-store’s goods run the accessories gamut: “buttery soft” leather wallets made in Brooklyn, nigh-indestructible canvas dopp kits made in Portland, and cuff links sourced from baseballs and Philips head screws, from Maine.

Owen and Fred also carries handmade grooming products (pre-shave oil from Los Angeles, shaving cream from Vermont), plus goods for the home: table coasters made from concrete, speakers made from cigar boxes, and wooden ballpoint pens.

Owen and Fred also explicitly offer goods and accessories for the Man Cave, also known as the grown man’s Walley World.
