Tree Top

Attention fans of The Swiss Family Robinson, dendrophiles, evolutionary ironists and Simpsons Halloween special devotees: we found you a treehouse.

Thirty-six acres of treehouses, actually.

Introducing Out’n’About Treesort in Oregon’s Siskiyou National Forest, now taking reservations.

O’n’A is the treehouse-iest of treehouse hotels. So treehouse-y, in fact, they host annual tree-hotel/zipline conferences.

And while you’ll have to drink a bit of the arboreal Kool-Aid — it’s the type of place where you “treeserve a date” and enjoy “activitrees” —  the treehouses are stunning.

Like the Majestree, perched 47 feet up a Douglas fir and accessible only by a swinging walk – er – treeway. Full bathrooms, queen-size beds, kitchen, private deck.

Or the Treeloon, fashioned after an Old-West style saloon, replete with swinging doors.

Plus, those “activitrees”: horseback riding, river rafting, ziplines, ropes courses and a giant Tarzan Swing.

They’ll even help you build your own hardwood habitat.

The catch: O’n’A only takes phone bookings, and they fill up quickly.

Reservations for summer 2014 start at 8 a.m. Sunday (“not 7:59; eight”). Other seasons have openings, but summers fill up immediately. So, good luck.

Or, as they say, knock on wood.
