Located at Oregon’s Mt. Hood Village, a beautiful campsite/resort less than an hour from downtown Portland and abutting both the titular mountain and a National Forest of the same name, the Tiny House Village offers five distinct mini houses in possibly the most beautiful area in the Pacific Northwest.
Tumbleweed, the company behind the green, TRA-certified houses, equips each tiny home with a bathroom, a queen-sized bed (or more), kitchen, loft space, a living room with a TV, storage and a porch. All from $129 per night.
Each house is roughly 175-260 square feet and built with cedar plank siding. Oh, and remember when we said each tiny home had personality? We weren’t kidding.
Every Mt. Hood dwelling is named for an actual character: be it Lincoln (“an intellectual, houses an extremely humble demeanor. His home is minimalist, but full of books…”) or Atticus (“Probably one of the few people you know who is equally proud of his snowshoes and Johnson and Murphy wingtips”).
