Some Genius Made a Lamborghini-Powered Arkham Batmobile

This can't be real. And yet, it is.

Before the Marvel fiends of the world get their boxers in a bundle — we know, we know, this is not the actual Batmobile … it’s better.

From autophile extraordinaire Leif Tufvesson, a lead engineer at Sweden’s Koenigsegg, comes one spectacular piece of machinery. He and the Caresto custom shop created a carbon-fiber replica inspired by Batman’s Arkham Knight Batmobile (the video game, not the movie).

Under all that tough-as-terror fiber lies a menacing 5.2-liter V10 from a Lamborghini Gallardo with 560 ponies and a 200 mph top speed, which carried the ride from Dublin to Bucharest in last May’s Gumball.

Now the 4-wheeled villain is set to return to the scene of the crime — upgraded. In an interview with Top Gear, Caresto said he and the shop are readying and refurbishing the Arkham Knight for the 2017 Gumball rally. We can only hope he’ll tap this fella who just picked up the Batpod for $406k as his Robin.
