Beef. It’s what’s for dinner.
It’s also what’ll be for breakfast, lunch and fourth meal if you can get your hands on one of these nine-pound wagyu beef bento boxes that Tokyo lunch delivery service Gochikuru has created.
Filled with premium wagyu cuts from Tottori Prefecture, an area in the Southern end of Japan that’s renowned for its beef production, the cow-shaped compartments in the wooden box are filled with cuts that correspond to their location on the cattle.
You’ve got your prime rib, sirloin, brisket and tongue — all sourced from the famed prefecture. At $2,615, the beefy bento is pricey, but it does include rice, wasabi, lime and yakiniku sauce. Unfortunately, it looks like the box is only available in Tokyo.
